Hello guys,
I am new to OBS or just streaming in regular. Already looked at some tutorials here but I still don't get all of it, most regarding in Virtual Audio Cable. How can you set it up in such a manner that it can pick up co-commentary (via Skype) game audio and your own mic? As I said I am new to this so sorry if this is a stupid question. If it helps I already downloaded the DirectShow Audio plugin.

You don't need VAC. Just have the game audio and the Skype audio going to the same source, and OBS will simply capture them both. Then have it set to record your own Mic as well, and you're set.

Just make sure everything uses your default Windows Playback device. For example the soundcard to which your Headset is connected. Now if OBS records this device it will hear and record everything you hear. Then of course do not forget to select your Microphone in OBS too and you will have both Skype/Desktop and your Microphone sound in OBS.
VAC is needed if you dont want to send skype sound to your stream for example, or do more complex stuff.
