Question / Help Viewers buffering 80% of the time, no idea what bitrate/resolution downscale to use

I've read all the guides and forum posts I could find that were relevant, but as I'm totally new to OBS and know jack shit about this kind of stuff, I haven't been terribly successful at troubleshooting.

A couple of my viewers last night (first night using OBS) had problems viewing the stream, they were buffering about 80% of the time.

I have 150/150 mbps, and had set my max bitrate to 2000 kb/s, buffer size to 2500 kbit, and had the resolution downscale set to 2.25 (852x480). I adjusted those settings a few times, lowered them a bit, but since I have no idea what I'm doing, it didn't fix anything. These are the current settings for bitrate andresolution downscale.

If anyone knows how I can deal with this buffering problem, I'd be eternally grateful. I also had random issues last night with disconnecting, reconnecting 10 seconds later (happened once or twice every hour), but I'm not sure if that's related. Thanks for helping me out!

Edit: One of my friends who was having problems with my stream buffering 80% of the time was able to watch without interruption with max bitrate at 1000 kb/s and a resolution downscale to 2.5, but the stream quality overall looked terrible. Not sure what to do :(

going by your post you are capable of reading stickies.

since your only problem seems to be buffering theres no other sticky that can help you.

as a note suggest bitrate/buffer is always 1:1 but that probably wont fix your buffering issues.

there also has been the rumour lately that if you stream more often the buffering fixes itself due to server priority on twitchs end, but those are just rumours
