I've set the quality to indistinguishable yet it still exports at 360p. any help?
OBS Studio creates a log file each time you run it which contains very useful diagnostic information. Without a log file, it's much harder for any support volunteers to figure out problems and your post may be ignored.
To upload a log file, go to the Help menu > Log Files > Upload Last Log File. "Last Log File" is for the last session (the last time you ran OBS). In some cases you may be asked to select "Current Log File" instead, which is for the current session.

tysm idk how i couldn't find that setting. My pc crashed last month and messed up all of my obs settings after that and I've been wrestling with it since. thanks again :DSettings > Video > change the Output (Scaled) Resolution [Apply] [OK]
Some other things you may want to consider:
1. The Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling ("HAGS") feature in Windows is currently known to cause issues with OBS. We recommend disabling it via these instructions. Be sure to restart after disabling it.
2. To ensure that OBS Studio has the hardware resources it needs for realtime streaming and recording, we recommend disabling the "Game DVR Background Recording" feature via these instructions.
3. Run OBS as Admin.
4. Display, Game and Window Capture Sources interfere with each other. Never put them in the same scene (default).
