for a while when I was recording videos it would work fine and I would hit stop record and they would pop into my folder like normal. but this morning when I started to save videos they started appearing like the picture above with no thumb nail and it will not let me open the files. do you guys have any idea what could be going on??? I rely on obs for my youtube channel so I am trying to get this fixed as soon as possible. let me know any info you might need to try and get the problem solved and I will send it

just re-associate your files back with the previous player. VLC is a very common choice.
In the future you would be better to use flv format in OBS then use something like this to convert it quickly.

this way, even if OBS crashes, your video is still salvageable.
Not for previous files but for files written in flv right now and future.
