So,

I've recently been trying to record some Garry's Mod and CS:GO gameplay but every time I record the playback is terrible. It stutters when something moves quickly and its general quality is poor.

I've tried several encoding profiles and bitrates all to no avail.
I'm running on a AMD A8-5600K and R9 280.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Don't put spaces in crf=17 under advanced encoder settings.

Have you tried 1280x720 downscale? 1080p may be too much for your CPU recording and running the source engine together (source is CPU heavy).

Also looks like you're using the 32bit version. If you're not running 32bit windows, you'd be better off using the 64bit version.

I removed the CRF=17 and switched to 720P.

Still looks terrible!

With the AMD A8, if I have an R6670 is there any hope to recording CS:GO without lag? Dark souls runs fine and anything on my desktop recording as well.
