Question / Help Video shows up in game capture card UI, not in OBS preview stream

Hi guys, I've recently had this issue where my game would display on the game capture card's software UI (I'm using a Roxio Game Capture HD Pro), but when I try to preview the stream using OBS, I get a blank screen, despite there being audio.

Would appreciate it very much if someone knows how to go about this. Thank you in advance

Well, to my knowledge the Roxio is not supported in OBS as it compresses its output and does not offer an interface for OBS to use. It might be supported in the future with the incoming rewrite of OBS but there is no ETA on when that will be ready and usable.
You can try to window/monitor or game capture the roxio software to use OBS with the device.

Thanks for the quick response.

I have been previously able to use window capture to to stream gameplay as you have suggested. The blank screen is an issue which has just popped up for me today (things were fine last week). Have attempted to uninstall/reinstall both the Roxio capture software and OBS, but to no avail. Even reinstalled my video codec pack, but on dice.

Edit: After scouring the forums, it seems my issue has something to do with the infamous black/purple screen preview issue that many here are experiencing. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a fix for this.
