Question / Help Video settings don't save

When I select the resolution downscale option, OBS reverts back to the monitor base resolution setting. I've tried to 'run as adminstrator' and tried a fresh install but no luck, It's pretty urgent if anyone can provide some insight...
No matter how many times I try to apply and save my downscale settings (I've tried several) on various profiles, my selections never stick and return to the default as soon as I leave the menu

What settings are you trying to use?
please be exact with resolutions
 
my laptop res is 1280 x 720, so it defaults to that on the 'custom' setting. I'm trying to downscale by a factor of 2 (or anything for that matter) to bring it down to 640 by 360, to avoid having to resize all my features in all of my scenes, tried with several profiles but the settings just never stay... Can provide screenshots/video if required, quite the headache!

That logfile was about 2 weeks ago and it just shows 1280x720 downscaled to 1024x576. can you post a recent log? and maybe screenshots of showing the issue? I cannot duplicate your issue at all.
 
Try this one, thanks for your input, to reiterate, if I change the custom settings they save, it simply won't save my downscale selection. My audio settings save fine too... Regards

Perhaps I'm misled in thinking that by downscaling I can save on CPU instead of having to use a lower base resolution to start with...
