Question / Help Video Recording Stutters

For the past 2 days I have been trying to broadcast gaming videos but without success. The video stutters whilst the sound carries on. I thought that might have been a problem with my upload speed so, today, I decided to just record the video. Whilst the video stutters less...it still stutters. Since I'm quite new to the whole broadcast/recording system I require assistance, please..

Here is the log:

Thank you in advance for taking the time to read this.

Your CPU isn't keeping up.

13:05:13: Total frames encoded: 126807, total frames duplicated: 74545 (58.79%)
13:05:13: Number of frames skipped due to encoder lag: 72813 (57.42%)
13:05:13: Total frames rendered: 53797, number of late frames: 726 (1.35%) (it's okay for some frames to be late)

I don't think you can stream with your PC. Maybe if you use Quicksync instead of x264.

To record and not stream, use this guide: https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/how-to-make-high-quality-local-recordings.12600 , although you may still have trouble even on UltraFast preset, from what I'm seeing.

Try running your game in Windows 8 compatibility mode. It cleared up the stutters completely for me in pretty much every game. There's something weird going on with Windows 10 (TH2) and OBS.

I have an FX-8350 @ 4.8 ghz coupled with an R9 390X and also experienced 50%+ duplicated frames, while in the past (before TH2) I would get maybe 0.3% at most. Basically it can game and encode without breaking a sweat, but after TH2 not so much.

So try that.
