Question / Help Video Plug in problem with sound output stream/device

When I stream I like to hear the music videos that I play at the beginning of my show. Sapien was kind enough to help me with a problem last week due to me making the videos global rather than local.

Anyway I made the videos regular scenes, and in settings chose "Output to Device, Direct X audio output and Primary Sound driver". I thought I was all set but when I began streaming the audience could see the video but here nothing. So in the middle of the show I had to go in and change settings to "Output audio to stream" for it to work.

My friend that also uses OBS does not have this problem in the same conditions. Can someone tell me if I'm stuck using output to stream? Thank you very kindly, Karen

I'm slightly confused, do you want to output it to your desktop speakers rather than just to stream?

Sorry Jim. I just enjoy hearing the sound of the video while I'm streaming live. I am guessing that you can't do that on the video plug in. If I push video to stream I can see it but can't hear it. If I push it through my system OBS, I can see and hear it but audience can't hear sound. I was hoping I could come up with a solution
