Question / Help Video player does not work with ElGato HD 60 in OBS

You know how other streams have a cool video intro before their stream starts right?

Well with the Elgato HD 60 after the video intro starts then after it is supposed to transition to the Elgato for gameplay its a red screen and OBS will not find the Elgato and I will have a red screen. I then have to remove global source and delete all the plugin files for the video play / video transition.

Does anyone know if there is a way to get these two to work together?

THANK YOU!

Red screen usually means it's already used by some other application, did you close the elgato software?

figured it out. I didn't download both OBS version for regular 32 to install that in the normal program files directory. I just copied and pasted the 64-bit x86 versions in both directories. That caused the issue. Late night reading comprehension isn't my finest trait but this morning I got it resolved. Thank you though for your offered support.

  1. Installing plugins is as easy as copy/pasting the plugin files into the plugins folder of your OBS install.

    32-bit plugins folder = C:\Program Files (x86)\OBS\plugins
    64-bit plugins folder = C:\Program Files\OBS\plugins
