Question / Help Video Playback does not work

I can record a video just fine with no lag in-game. But when I try and open up the video file, it is stuck at the 1st frame and stays there. The audio plays just fine though. What can I do to fix this? I already tried things like lowering my bitrate but it did not work. It was working just fine 1 week ago.

Thanks.

If you've already tried playing the file back in a decent media player like VLC or MPC-HC, check the stickies at the top of the forum and post a log file.

Where can I find a log file? Also what are "stickies"? Please excuse my ignorance. I am very new to these forums

1- How are you trying to play back the video files? Use VLC or MPC-HC if you're using something else.

2- Your CPU is weak to record 720p@60fps with those settings. You're getting a lot of duped frames, especially later in that log. Look at the Local High-Quality Recordings Guide.

3- 320kbps for audio is massively, ludicrously excessive when using AAC (which is much better than MP3). Drop to 128, or 96kbps.

Hey! Thanks for all your tips! My problem was definitely fixed with no quality loss! Thanks again.
