Question / Help Video/Audio Issue

Hello,
I am having an issue with my Video slightly out of sync with my audio. The Audio can be heard and the video is slightly behind it. I am using a webcam through the firewire port for video and the soundcard audio line in for audio. I am not having any issues other than this. Can you please recomend some things? I am using youtube for all my streaming, I have tried hangouts to stream and it seems to work fine for me, but I would rather be using OBS for all of its cool things.
Thanks
Mark

mic audio offset from the advanced tab of OBS. you need to put a positive number in ms to delay the audio by the amount of time that is delayed. also, make your webcam a global source.

After allot of trial and error I was able to get this working and as you stated above Dping that is exactly what I had to do. I had tried so many different things. I was able to get closer by using the X264 cpu settings set to ultrafast, but this caused my video to be degraded. Using the Global audio offset has done the trick. Thanks for your help!!!

I did have a another question for you though, what does making the webcam a global source do for me, I have it working but am interested.

Post your logfile, you should not use ultrafast for streaming, I'd lower your downscale before you do that.

global sources makes the scene load into memory and persistent. this help help a lot with AV sync issues when changing scenes. you'll have to remove the source then add it as a global. This also helps when adding the same input to multiple scenes.

I dont have a choice for the stream, I did notice that it is using Xsplit audio for the desktop although I have removed this from my programs. I looked and it is in the device manager but does not show up in my windows audio manager. I am going to remove that from the device manager and go from there, Thanks
