Question / Help Using OBS on Macbook Air 2012 as Dedicated Streaming PC?

hi guys! so I'm planning on download Multiplat OBS soon and I had a question...

So lately, I've been toying with the idea of offloading some CPU stress on my gaming PC, and rather than building a whole new PC dedicated to streaming, I was wondering if I could just use something I already have (MBA 2012) to handle the streaming instead?

Has anyone tried this? I'm unsure whether or not the Intel i5 1.8Ghz (2.8Ghz Turbo) is enough to produce a stream similar to my gaming PC or if OBS Multiplatform works well enough yet.

I'm thinking my setup will look like:

PC > Extremecap U3 > Macbook Air

(HDMI 1) PC > Splitter > Monitor 1
(HDMI 2) Splitter > Extremecap U3 > USB 3 > Macbook Air
(DVI) PC > Monitor 2

Setup isnt too different from trying to stream from a console to the PC, but the only inconvenience I see so far is having to get a USB hub to handle the Capture Card, Webcam, and Mic

Anyone have any thoughts on this?
