Question / Help Using Capturecard, but OBS is still using CPU-Power!?

Hi there!
I try to explaine in my best english.

I stream to Twitch for perhaps 1 - 1,5 years now.
I read about a "Capturecard" that saves CPU-Power.
I using a 8core-AMD, but if i play newest games i got 80-90% CPU-usage -
if i use Gamecapture converting from 1080p into 720p at a h.264-setting at "faster".

So i bought the Avermedia Live Gamer HD PCIE-Card and installed it.
I read about the usage and watch some Youtube-Videos about it.
I use the Capturecard as a "Global Source" and get the picture.

But...
OBS is still at a high CPU-usage and it makes no difference between
using the Capturecard as a Global Source or using the "Gamecapture"- or "Windowcapture"-Option in OBS!?
OBS is still working hard to convert the video.

So the question is "What have i do wrong"?
"Where is the save of CPU-Power when i use a Capturecard"?

Greetings, Michael.

Using a capture card on a single-PC streaming setup does not reduce CPU usage. You were mislead.

You can use the on-card encoders only if you use AverMedia's streaming software instead of OBS. It's very limited and poor, compared. See if you can return the card.

This is the main reason I really dislike AverMedia; they mislead people into making this exact assumption and buying their crap, by using weasel-worded marketing and intentionally misleading box-copy. For what it is, it's workable starter-grade equipment. If only they weren't so slimy about how they almost lie to people, to sell it.

I think you`re right.
I talked to my local hardwaredealer and told him the problem i have with this capturecard.
I bring it back tomorrow and get money back.

I don`t want to use this piece of waste.
And for the future i will think twice of buying a "Avermedia"-Product.
I spent plenty of hours in the night to read messages from other peoples who have the same Problem get running the original Streamingsoftware on this capturecard.
It doesn`t work and it seems like nobody from Avermedia cares about that.
The software won`t connect to Twitch.

Enough from this.
Thanks for answering me and thanks again for this great piece of software called "OBS".
