Using Bluetoooth headset, not working correctly ...

I do have audio for my mic, and I do have my audio for speakers going through one Bluetooth headset, however, I am hearing 'Tape qaulity' sound. Since I am disabling the stereo device for the headset in order to get my mic to work. (Only way I can hear myself)

The problem is I hear low qaulity sound, not stereo sound and also it lags too when audio enhancments are on and sometimes when off, I haven't had interferrence with this headset before and I am 2 feet away from the PC. It's working fine outside OBS Studio on my PC/devices etc.

A USB headset, however, works as intended, but using Bluetooth is what I am trying to do. But my audio/mic is low qaulity for my headset qaulity, it's showing one channel "Tape quality" since my stereo device for my headset is disabled to pick up my mic. It should be at CD quality with two channels, not one. (This is grayed out and can't be changed)

How do I fix this so I can use my Bluetooth headset with OBS Studio normally? I don't see a workaround for this.

This behavior is bluetooth specific. For bandwidth reasons many, perhaps most, bluetooth devices switch to a low quality voip mode as soon as the mic is enabled. There are devices that don't do that, however I don't know if this is due to some modern bluetooth codec they use or if it is due to proprietary protocol they use. I have a bluetooth headset that comes with its own dongle, this doesn't switch to low quality voip mode. But if I use this device with the internal PC/Laptop bluetooth instead of the dongle, it uses the low quality voip mode.

The solution is to buy either a wired headset or a wireless headset that doesn't exhibit this behavior. This isn't something OBS can change, it's the the headset hardware. You can disable the bluetooth headset mic in OBS. If nothing is accessing a bluetooth headset mic, the headset switches to music mode, which is high quality. However, if you need the headset mic, there's no way around a better headset.

I have 5.3 Bluetooth, I highly doubt that's not supported anymore as well. 5.4 is newest, one gen higher.
