Hiya people.

I'll be soon putting together some things for my pc and was thinking to do a livestream at the same time, which is not gonna work on my main PC since I'm gonna delid my cpu for example, so I was wondering how I could solve this..

I own a Raspberry Pi Model B+ and was wondering if I somehow can put up a stream on that? I only want to stream my webcam. If possible, what do I need to do for this in that case?

Sincerely,
Jimmy.

Assuming you're asking about running OBS on it? What operating system is running on your RPi?

RPis don't have great processors and I don't think it would stream very well at all.

Well that would work with Google Hangouts and other stuff that can grab a webcam, but not with OBS.
OBS needs a lot of horsepower under the hood, specially the CPU horsepower is important. Expect it to just eat your CPU alive and drop frames all over the place.

Nope. An RPi is a low-power device. Only reason it can even display 1080p video at all is because it has dedicated accellerated hardware decoding; without it, the little SoC couldn't come *close* to playing back a blu-ray. And encoding video is significantly more computationally-heavy than playback.

I'd doubt an RPi would even be able to do 240p on Ultrafast.
