Question / Help Use hotkey to play certain sounds or videos

For my streams, I want to have more atmosphere to them by adding crowd reactions to when there is a crash or somin like that, but for that to work, I need a certain key I can press that makes a particular crowd sound play. Is that possible to do?

Not with OBS. You want a hotkeyable soundboard app.

As far as videos, yes. You can set up a separate scene for each video, and switch to them with hotkeys. I believe I remember someone setting up an HTML-based version too, that could just be overlaid with the CLR browser plugin and triggered via hotkeys through that third-party app. Not sure it ever came to fruition though, as it was a couple of years back and I've not heard anything about it recently.
