Question / Help upload thresholds

I have a upload threshold of 1250MB each hour 1600mb over 2 hours with virgin media in the UK.

If I stream for more than a hour and go over the threshold the upload speed get cut by 50% which stops the stream.

What should my settings be in OBS to make sure I don't go over the threshold and can stream for hours with out going over the limit?

any help would be great

Assuming they calculate in Megabyte:
1250/60=20.83 MB/minute or
1600/120=13.33 MB/minute

13333 KB/minute / 60
222.21 KB/sec = 1777.68 kbit (that is combined audio and video)
or if you use an online bitrate calculator (google "Bitrate calculator")

Which basically means time to switch to a better internet provider, because the limitation is just insane (and people blame communists!). Keep in mind there is also bandwidth from your game/voice comm software/who_knows_what_else. Streaming with 1700 kbps is already hardly pleasing to the eye, and then you need to reduce it even more to keep some bandwidth for your other applications otherwise you'll go over your limit even if your bitrate fits.

Try and talk to them. Maybe there is a business plan or something else so you can use it. Limiting the upload is pretty stupid.. We have the same problem with the biggest provider here (but only with their fibre to the home plan) - 200 or 400Gb limit per month. Its still fine for streaming, but you have to watch your traffic.
