Update to 32.2.1 - now I have no sound - asked Ai 20 questions (trouble shooting) + full reinstall = no joy

Title says it all - I did "all the things" - reset defaults to specific devices, restarted, set WIN settings, privacy, permissions to mic, sound, etc.

This is a very bad thing...
 
AI is almost all the time wrong because it was trained with old or false information. Never trust AI.
You didn't do all the things. Please review the pinned posts on this forum. There's other threads on this forum regarding issues with audio you should consult.
You can always install the previous OBS version you were using to keep working and do a portable install of the new version to test and see if it works as intended or need to update plugins (or other resources) before commiting to the update.

Where you do not have the sound? You don't hear it (no monitoring)? You don't see the sources in the Audio Mixer? No sounds in the recording? Or what?
