Question / Help [Update] problem with borderless

ok so this is an update for my previous thread...

I am using OBS and Avermedia Live Gamer HD to gram my computer screen and games. Now while i play a game in full screen mode i have no problem but as soon as i change the game to Full Screen Borderless OBS starts droping the amount of frames it gets. Now the actual game dosn't drop any frames and is running over 60 fps all the time. sometimes even up to 200 fps. when i switch back to full screen the problem goes away on OBS.

my specs:
  • Motherboard: [EVGA Z77 FTW]
  • Ram: [G.Skill RipjawsX DDR3 16GB]
  • CPU: [Intel i7-3770k @ 3.50GHz]
  • GPU: [EVGA GTX 760 FTW ACX]
  • PSU: [Corsair GS800 (800W)]
  • HDD: [Kingston HyperX 3K 120 GB]
  • [Avermedia Live Gamer HD]
I am using Win 10 with the Nvenc default.

does anyone know if there a way to fix this?

Is vsync enabled? Does enabling it make a difference? Why are you using a capture card in a single PC setup?

I am using the capture card because it is said is better than monitor recording or window recording. at least it has always worked in the past. vsync is not active and it dosnt make a difference other than capping my game at 60 fps for what i can see

just tried using monitor capture and i have the same effect. When i put the game on borderless i start seeing some fps drop on the amount OBS is encoding. {instead of saying 30 it goes down to 20) now when i run full screen there is no problem.

Ok so i did some more testing and the only game that seems to be doing this to me is WoW so far. I guess ill stick to full screen for now.
