Starting about a month ago, any time I try to update OBS Studio under Windows 8.1, I get the error "update failed: couldn't load manifest file". The only way to update is go to the OBS website and download the full installer. Is there a known workaround?
This looks like a file permission problem, and somehow OBS does not have permissions on the file system in the local administrator context to create the manifest file (or maybe the subfolder in which that file is created). Does anyone have details on what folders and files are created by the installer, and I could test doing those manually to look for a permissions issue?
