Question / Help Unplayable FPS when streaming?

Hi, I'm having issues with OBS since trying it out, I'm attempting to stream DayZ Epoch MOD, my FPS usually is around 50-60 without streaming and is completely playable but as soon as I start streaming I get a decrease of 15-20 FPS which causes a lot of screen tear and basically makes the game unplayable. I've heard other people say that they get almost no FPS drop whilst streaming but I am yet to find a game to stream which allows me to be able to play at my full potential.

My PC specs are 6GB RAM, GTX 580 GPU, I7 960 @ 3.4GHz
My upload speed is 18 megabits/s

My settings are

Encoding =
X264
USE CBR TICKED
MAX BITRATE 3500
Every other tick box is unticked.

Broadcast settings =
Minimize network impact ticked
Every other tick box is unticked

Video =
MY GPU
Custom = 1920 x 1080
Resolution downscale = 1.50 (1280x720)
Filter = Blinear (fastest)
FPS = 30
Disable Aero unticked

Advanced =
Use multithreaded optimizations ticked
Process priority class normal
Scene buffering time = 700
X264 CPU Preset = very fast
USE CFR ticked
Every other tick box is unticked

Any advice would be appreciated

If your computer has enough power, you of course do not notice the small load increase that streaming adds. But your CPU is not the newest (of course its not bad) and DayZ/Arma is a badly coded abomination of a game. Your settings look fine but to be sure:
Problem? Make sure to post a log and/or crash dump -- HOWTO

Apart of that you might have to increase the downscale further to lower the load on your GPU. And keep an eye on your CPU usage, but I assume you should have some free room left there.

Resolution downscale = 1.50 (1280x720)
increase means setting it to 1.75 or 2.00 which results in a slightly lower resolution and thus less work for your CPU.
The offer to check a logfile still stands :)
