Hi guys! I'm relatively new, and I hope to start livestreaming soon. I recently bought an Avermedia C985 Live Gamer HD capture card, and I'm trying to capture from my PS3. I'm also using the Logitech G930 headset, and I'm hoping to get some sound coming from it but it isn't exactly working. Whenever I try to capture, I just get a black screen, and the only way for my PS3 screen to show up on my monitor is if I move my HDMI cable from the graphics card to the capture card Video Out. As said before, I'm relatively new and I'm trying to understand this to the best of my ability.
I have the PS3 connected through HDMI, and it's connected to the capture card through the Video In port and nothing on the Video Out port yet. I've watched dozens of guides of using a USB headset with Avermedia but it doesn't seem to work and I'm not to keen on downloading software from a random publisher that I'm not familiar with. I saw one guide with the use of desktop speakers in sync with the headset but just having the speakers very low, and I still cannot get sound even from the speakers.
My PC Specs:
Board: Gigabyte 990fxa-ud3
CPU: AMD FX 8350 4.0 GHz 8 Core CPU
Memory: 16 GB GSkill
GPU: MSI Twin Frozr R9 280x OC
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I will provide more information if requested.

Edit: I have tried some capturing beforehand and since my PS3 is just on the main screen to mess around with setitngs, I would try to capture and would get an error "Recording failed. This content is copyright protected." I'm not sure how it's against copyright protection? I just want to play my PS3 on my computer monitor with sound coming through my usb headset.
