Question / Help Two "small" problems I am having (audio sync, and delay)

Alright, I'm not at my OBS computer right now, but will post the log in about an hour when I am. Thought I would compose this now though.

here are the two problems:

When I am streaming a game on youtube with the elgato, I like to use a facecam as well. The elgato has about a 1500 ms delay, so I delay my microphone and webcam by about that much to get the voice audio in sync with the game. Something changed last week, and now whenever I try to delay my video, nothing happens. doesnt matter if I do 0ms, or 20000ms, it gives the same result. I have saved the setting, restarted the stream, restarted obs, and rebooted my computer. Nothing changes. How can I delay the video to match? I had been changing the buffer setting and it was working fine, now nothing.

The second problem may be youtube specific. I start my stream and preview it 20 minutes in advance to make sure everything is synced and audio levels are right. Everything looks good, I start streaming. As the stream progresses, the audio (game and voice) slowly goes off sync, until about 2 hours in, when it is a second or two off. If I restart the stream in OBS, the sync is fixed right away, but then slips over time. Any idea why this is?

That log doesn't show you using a webcam so we can't tell if there's something wrong with the way you set it up.

In general, to delay a webcam, you have to enable Use Buffering and set an appropriate delay: http://i.imgur.com/WAaPJ3f.png

As for the audio sync, Try raising your Scene Buffering Time in Advanced Settings to 700 or 1000, and enable either the Mic Sync Fix hack or Mic QPC Timestamps.

I went back to the logs. that is the only log from that day. The last one was from two days earlier, but as you can see, the webcam WAS on the stream at the time covered by that log. Perhaps this is related to the problem? the setting you highlighted in the picture is the one I was using. It used to work fine, now nothing.

I will try the solution you gave for desync over time. Thanks

So I fixed the webcam delay issue, but now the game audio is continuing to have problems. The problem seems to happen worse on 1080 than 720 but happens on both. As I play, the game audio will slowly get delayed behind the game video. I have tried the solutions you gave above, but they didnt help.

Use buffering needs to be on for the elgato as well (at 0 is fine) -- it'll actually force a sync, if that makes sense. It's supposed to be on by default for the elgato, but it's not working, so that's a bug.

i have the same problem. I have tried everything said above and nothing works for me. I am starting to get very frustrated because of all of this. Please help.
