Bug Report Twitch stream thumbnail is the grey default one after update to 0.65b

I realize this thread https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/wont-show-stream-thumbnail-on-twitch.470/page-8 has been locked.

However I wanted to point out that I'm getting this issue as well, and it started happening on the precise day I updated OBS to version 0.65b (March 07) I had streamed some before I updated and those have a thumbnail. On that exact same day, several hours later, I streamed after I updated OBS and suddenly I have no thumbnails - just the default grey Twitch one (monitor with a ? above it). And I haven't had a thumbnail for any broadcast since (I tend to stream twice a day).

While I realize that it is possible that Twitch also did an update that day at the exact time I updated OBS, I don't find that to be an extremely likely scenario. Could you please recheck that there isn't a reawakening of the old bug? Or is there now a setting that I need to change from what worked before in order to get my thumbnails showing on Twitch?

If it is in fact a Twitch bug, is there any information you can recommend I provide Twitch in order to help them fix this issue on their end?

Thank you,
Val

It did, yes. I believe it was the version I had prior to the current one (I keep it up to date). I'll double check, if you like, but first I need to find that version to download again (I use the autocheck and then update via OBS itself normally). I'll try fit it in tomorrow morning.

Okay it is in fact, looking like (as unlikely as it seemed to me) that there is in fact something going on with Twitch.

I've tried 0.64b and it also has the grey thumbnail. I know for a fact that 0.64b worked in the past. Then I tried streaming directly to Twitch (I use a rebroadcaster so I can stream to 3 places at once) with 0.64b and its still a grey thumbnail. The only part of my 0.65b OBS setup that I kept was my profiles and my sceneCollection folders. So unless something was broken in those two folders by the update to 0.65b, it must be Twitch.

Unfortunately, I don't have time today to test starting from a fresh profile and sceneCollection to eliminate that as a possibility. In the meantime I'm going to send Twitch a message about this.

Thanks R1CH for bearing with me. :)

Twitch Community Post Link - FYI. I've also submitted a report to Twitch. So sorry for bothering you guys here at OBS with this - I did really think (given the timing) that it was the OBS update. But no, it seems it must be Twitch.
Sadly, posting on that page is absolutely pointless, because 99% of the time noone from the staff reads anything, and if they actually do (probably when they are bored), they always give you a bullshit answer saying it's not a problem on their end.
Sending reports is most probably pointless as well. Just look at all those buffering problems they didn't care to fix for over a year.

Well, I tweeted Twitch Support as well. What else can I do? :/

Honestly, nothing. There's nothing you can do but either hope for a miracle or leave the site :(

Well given that I triple-stream to Twitch/Beam/Youtube, I'm pretty comfortable that all my eggs aren't in their currently visually broken basket. :P (Note: In general, I don't have a ton of issues with Twitch, but they definitely have a lot of room for improvement!).
