Question / Help Tv Goes Black when change Scene? Elgato+OBS

Hi, so today I received my Elgato HD60 Ive set it all up but when i click to start stream or change scene my TV goes black for a few seconds, is there a fix for this or am i just going to have to put up with it?

Are you using passthrough on the Elgato?

Try making the Elgato source a global source.

I know with the elgato HD Capture there was a setting to change the "flicker" for the device/tv. I am not sure if you can complete prevent it from doing it because I think while the device is on standby and then become active, it needs to sync the device with the feed. (once again, not sure) but what Dodgepong said is what I did with mine. Make it a global source and add it in your scenes. Then whenever you start your stream it will flicker once then be good when your switch to other scenes in OBS.

If you make it global, that should stop the issue.

If its not global, the device "reactivates" essentially, which causes the short black screen.
