Question / Help TurtleBeach Z60 not capturing voice.

Here's my situation. My headset is not relaying my voice over the stream. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or not. The game audio is carrying just fine, so no issues there. The only thing not being broadcasted is my voice. I can't seem to figure out how to accomplish this and my searches have turned up next to nothing. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm on Win8, BTW.

there are a few things that could affect this:
1. default mic device not set
2. push to talk checked under hotkeys tab but no PTT key selected
3. there is a new tab in settings at the bottom that adds in functionality for voice activation. cant recall what it was called.
4. on the main window of OBS there is a red volume meter for game volume and mic volume, make sure you set it high enough.
