Hello, I'm trying to fine tune my stream so that it has either very few or no duplicate, late or skipped frames. The current settings that I'm using seem to work fine on some days (Here is an example of such a day where there was 3 duplicate frames and 1 late frame with a 3300 bitrate), and then on some days it increases slightly (Here is an example that has 33 duplicate frames and 4 late frames with a 3500 bitrate)
The ultimate goal I'm trying to achieve with my stream is for it to be clear, smooth with no blur/pixelization or duplicate/skipped/late frames. All I'm trying to do now is figure out the correct settings to achieve that goal.
x64 bit Windows 7
CPU: Intel i5 2500k (Not overclocked)
Graphics card: ATI Radeon 5850
8GB Ram
According to Testmy.net, my upload seems to be between 5.3 and 5.5 mbps.
Current OBS Settings:
Resolution: 1600x900, downscaled to 1280x720 (My monitor is 1920x1200, but I cannot achieve no duplicate/late/skipped frames if I set the resolution of both the stream and the game to 1920x1080 and downscale to 1280x720. The games I'm streaming are all in 1600x900 windowed mode.)
Bitrate: 3500
Buffer: 3500
Preset: Veryfast (I'm able to set the preset lower but only after setting OBS's priority to High. If I don't, OBS complains about the encoder not being fast enough. Ingame performance starts to suffer on Fast and Medium. However, I notice there are more duplicate/late frames if I were to use a slower preset, so I'm not really liking it at the moment)
Lanczos Filter
CBR and CBR padding is enabled
128k AAC audio bitrate
Here are three fresh logs of my stream with different settings: http://pastebin.com/60ydf06v
This could very well be just bad connections to twitch, as when I'm looking at the Ingest Latency Checker the jitter seems somewhat high (currently hanging around 5-6 for most US East servers.) I believe I got the lower duplicate/late frames streams when the jitter was around 1 to 3.
If someone could help me out with this, that would be great.
