Hi. I'm very new to OBS and I'm struggling with a current issue.
There are some games that I stream in fullscreen mode. Because of this, I usually have to press alt+enter to shift it into windowed mode whenever I want to access something else like a music player or a web page. I have a setup to where alt+enter is also assigned as a hotkey for certain visual elements within OBS. Purely just for decoration (like a little cat that appears and sits on the window while waiting).
So when the game is windowed, the elements appear, when the game is fullscreened, the elements vanish. All using the same keys, alt+enter.
Some games unfortunately have a delay during this process where they blackscreen for about half a second. I've been trying to use transitions to mask this for aesthetic purposes. I set up one of my transitions that I use for scenes as a media source and assigned it the same hotkey.
The thing is, after adjusting for speed, it does work somewhat. But it will only play when going from fullscreen game -> windowed game. The other elements pop in and out just fine. But what I'm trying to do with using the transition as a raw video that plays using the same keys, it won't happen when going back into fullscreen.
I hope this all made sense and I know that there is likely a very obvious answer to what I'm trying to do. I don't have any hardware to facilitate this, only my keyboard. Thanks in advance for any help.
