Question / Help Trouble with software

Hello, I'm wondering if someone can help me with this software. I've recently downloaded it to apply overlays that were created for me to stream from my Xbox One to Twitch. I was watching a tu tutorial online on how to do it however the software wasn't linking up with my Xbox One. As I went step by step I got stuck at the capture part. I was wondering if someone could please help me with this step by step? I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you

Through Open Broadcast Software. I was told that I needed to download that software in order for me to apply my overlay that was created for me. I'm using Twitch

Forgive me I'm very novice to going about this. My graphic designer has literally left me stranded with an overlay that he didn't know how to apply. Please help

That doesn't tell me exactly how you're trying to capture your xbox one. It doesn't tell me how you're trying to get your picture to your computer or anything useful

Okay well, If I knew that then I wouldn't be asking. Please don't read into my responses, as I said I'm novice to this. I guess I'm looking for a walk through of help for this. I have everything setup and ready. OBS is running, Xbox One is up and connected to PC. So I'm at step one

They are both connected through the Xbox one app on my pc. The OBS software is running in the background. I'm trying to get OBS software to capture what's on my of screen to broadcast that.

That would have been useful information in your opening post.
You MUST use monitor/display capture to capture the xbox app, and in order to prevent other things from getting in the way, you MUST have everything else that you want to be able to see on your computer on a separate screen.

Okay so for each image and the overlay I already have to have them up but in their own screens? I'm going to try that and see how it works. Thanks

Did you find and select the overlay image from the add source dialog?
Does the Add->Image simply pop up no dialog box? "Nothing comes up in the screen" doesn't specify if the add was done, or if you were unable to perform the add.
Did you make sure the overlay image source layer was above the Xbone capture layer on the sources list? It's like a deck of cards or transparencies, stuff above will block stuff below, so getting the order right is imperative.
