Question / Help Trouble with Black Screen

So I've been trying to record 'The Sims 2: Ultimate Collection' But there is just a black screen. I can see the cursor and hear in game audio but it remains black. I tested it on another game (Garry's Mod) and i was able to film that game perfectly but The sims 2 just doesnt want to be recorded. in the video tab of OBS set it to the nvidia GPU. you might also have to have OBS run in "high performance" in geforce experience. Sims will need to be set in hig performance as well since apparently it runs on the intel by default
