Question / Help Trouble streaming at 1080p 30 FPS

I'm having trouble streaming to Twitch at 1080p 30 FPS. I've attached the results of my speed test and the OBS log from my latest test stream.

What's happening is, depending on the settings I try to use to fix the problem, my stream is either choppy with good image quality, or smooth enough with pixelation.

VIdeo with choppy framerate: http://www.twitch.tv/xxtoyedxx/b/572102406
Preset: Faster

Video with pixelation: http://www.twitch.tv/xxtoyedxx/b/572084700
Preset: VeryFast

My PC Specs:

Chassis: Silverstone RV03 Raven 3
Mobo: Asus Rampage 3 Black
CPU: i7 960 OC to 4GHz
CPU Cooling: Corsair H80
RAM: 8GB Mushkin Enhanced DDR3-2000 CL7
Sound card: Asus Xonar Xense
GPU: 2x Asus ENGTX580 DCII in SLI
PSU: Enermax SGalaxy EVO 1250W
SSD: Corsair Force 3 240GB
HDD: Seagate 3TB HDD for storage

I know I have the upload speed. 15Mb/s should be high enough upload for 1080p. In fact Twitch doesn't like it when you use more than 3500 Kb/s bitrate.

I'm not dropping frames either. At least OBS doesn't report any frame dropping while streaming.

Any help would be appreciated. If you need any more info do not hesitate to ask and I will do my best to get it to you. I want this resolved if at all possible. I can stream at 720p without issue however I would much prefer 1080p.

You probably won't be able to avoid either pixellation or lag. Your CPU is pretty good, though an older model of i7, so I don't know much about it. It might not perform ideally at 1080p, most likely especially not at 'faster' preset.

As for the bitrate, twitch doesn't typically like it if you stream above 3500, and the problem is that 3500 is just a bit low for 1080p at 'veryfast' preset. Not sure if there's any good way to deal with it without downscaling, though it still doesn't look all that bad. You could always try 1.25 downscale. Right in between 1080p and 720p. It would be the small sacrifice of pixel ratio for just a bit higher overall quality.

Thank you.

I might try increasing my bitrate and Twitch can whine all they want about it. Your other suggestion, 1.25 downscale, doesn't seem like too bad an option, but I'm paying 140 bucks a month for my up speed so I want to use as much of it as possible. I'll report back after a few more tests with those suggestions.

Well you could just increase your bitrate for 1080p and disregard twitch's desires, they don't seem to care that much about like 4000 bitrate, though it's up to you.

keep in mind ... the higher your bitrate the more viewer you will lose as long as you are not partnered due to poor server routing
