Bug Report Trouble previewing stream/ Installing NVIDIA drivers to fix

I'm running OBS v0.452a and I can't seem to preview anything. I keep getting the error message saying I'm running an old or unsupported GPU. So naturally I go and try to install the proper GPU (I read NVIDIA may be it) and install the .exe installer and then it says that I'm not running Vista (which I am) or that there are no supported drivers for my hardware! Is there anything I can do to solve this or amm I just out of luck? Any help on this matter is appreciated.

You need to download service pack 2 for vista, along with http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971512

None of the installers in the link you gave me apply to my system apparently. Anything else?.

after service pack 2 and that update is installed, you may want to try updating your drivers and directx (at http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download ... aspx?id=35 ) again and seeing if it fixes the issue.. other than that I unfortunately don't know

I already have DirectX 11. Should I re-install that?

Though you may have a specific overall version of directx, it's possible you may not have a specific sub-revision of it, so it's important to run that application just to make sure. Might not fix your problem, I don't know, but it's worth a shot.
