Hi,
I am using OBS to screen capture 3840x2160 60fps in H.264 in a MP4 container.
I included a LOG file showing my current settings.
The issue rests in the transcoding the encoding from OSB MP4 to WEBM.
I am arriving at 5 minutes of recorded video from OBS takes 1:30 miinutes to convert to WEBM.
I have 2 i7-3960 3.3, 49gb RAM, Windows 7 64-bit and working off a 2tb SSD.
I am using FFMPEG with the myFFMPEG interface as it is easier to process for me. I have Max. batch threads set to 8 and CPU Cores set to 12 which they are all engaged.
I have to record 30 minutes worth of screen capture and I am thinking of how to minimuze the amount of time it takes for that to be processed.
Is the 5 minute transcode of 1:30 minutes a good indicator if I was to transcode 6x that amount of time it would be 6x lengthier to transcode?
Any suggestions on what FFMPEG settings I can use to reduce the transcode time and the application I use, myFFMPEG, can accept arguments.
Thank you kindly for through and looking forward to your response!
Thomas
