Question / Help To upgrade, or not to upgrade

What is actually the difference between a faster and a slower CPU in streaming? Is it just that a stronger can handle gaming+streaming better or does it actually increase video quality on the same settings?

Im sitting on a 2500k right now and can stream almost anything on faster without that much of an impact, would I actually get better quality with a faster CPU?

Not if you stick to the same settings. A stronger CPU just gives you more power to work with, so you can attempt to increase quality if you so choose.

Would 2500k@4,4 to 3770k be a noticeable improvement or not worth it?

It would be a pretty big improvement. You're moving up to ivy Bridge architecture, and then switching to an i7, giving your 4 extra threads, which helps a lot with video encoding. Even a mild overclock to 4.0 or 4.2GHz on the 3770k would be a pretty noticeable jump in CPU power.
