Question / Help To those using HexChat -- Any way to fade after time?

I thought it'd be nice to see the viewer chat fade or disappear after some time. This would prevent extra screen clutter when nobody is chatting for a period of time.

I scanned through the options but did not see any way to do this. Hoping there may be a pro here that can think of a way to do it. No worries either way, just a thought.

I'm curious about this too. It's the only thing I can't figure out that would make it perfect for me.

Bit of a necro but this is the only result I see when I google it.
