I was playing Arma and streaming and everything worked fine.... I went to stream again today and Only the sound would play on my stream and it was black screened.... and it says These applications require administrator access to capture (start OBS as administrator to capture):
ArmA 2 OA..... and i've obviously ran it as admin.

Re: These applications require administrator access to captu

This issue has actually been pretty much fixed in the latest test version (or should be at least), would cause OBS not to load with the proper priority flags when it's loaded with administrator access

Make sure to post your feedback on the test version in the Test version thread so Jim will see it there.

I had same issue... I reinstalled, and installed, then did the same with new test version... then i unclicked run as admin under obs, as well as run admin for all other users on computer. i then reselected run as admin for obs and it works. hope it helps. G'luck

*** 5 minutes later, didn't get it to work again, i don't know what's happening with it.

Re: These applications require administrator access to captu

If using the test version, if possible post in the test build thread with the two logs, %appdata%\obs\pluginData\captureHookLog.txt (copy paste that into start/run or Winkey+R) and the log from the app for that session.

Make sure you have run OBS and have tried streaming with game capture, and then close OBS before getting the log.

I get this problem too. I have given permission to everyone and everything.. even special permission to the game capture plugin itself..

Re: These applications require administrator access to captu

Went to use Xsplit when OBS wasn't working for me. Now Xsplit doesn't work. Maybe it's from the battleye update?

Re: These applications require administrator access to captu

I've seen an abnormally large number of ArmA 2 posts today, so I'm guessing it's a Battleye update.

Re: These applications require administrator access to captu

I did some documentation client side as to WHEN I can capture ARMA 2 OA and when things go south.

I can reproduce this 100% of the time.

1. Join a Breaking Point server
2. Exit server, but not game client
3. idle game client for unspecified time untill Battleye service status turns to "Stopped"
4. View credits sequence, it plays normally
5. Go to OBS, and Arma 2 OA is now listed to be captured
6. Without starting a preview of stream, going back to Arma still shows active credits
7. Go back to OBS and preview or start stream, and Arma will crash

I have found, for myself, Battleye, is associated with this some way.

Re: These applications require administrator access to captu

On this thread, they've reported that deleting your OBS appdata folder fixes the problem for them: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3688

Note that this will remove all your scenes and preferences.

Re: These applications require administrator access to captu

Removing OBS appdata did nothing for me, and I have already isolated the cause with the updated Battleye 1194 from 1193 that improves security around admin rights for the Battleye service that also conflicts with hooks.

Re: These applications require administrator access to captu

Battleye recently updated to 1.195 it is now compatible with systems effected by this restriction effecting OBS

Currently, however, OBS .51.01b still has admin elevation issues in the 64bit version.. but all is well now
