Question / Help The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Crash Immediately

Hey guys,
yesterday I updated my nvidia gpu drivers and also I am not sure if Witcher 3 had an update. Anyway, since that I am unable to stream Witcher 3 via obs, because the game crashes immediately after I start it, when obs streaming or recording is also turned on.

I tried to "downgrade" the gpu driver back, it did not solve the problem. If anyone has an idea how to solve my problem, please help. Otherwise I have one more option left and thats reinstall of obs or witcher... I'm lost...

Thanks in advance,
J17

I'm having the same issue. I've streamed the game for almost 6 hours with no issues. Something happened overnight because the moment I hit "start streaming" the game crashes.

OK i have fix alternative for game capture using reinstal nvidia drivers -> open the game -> graphic settings -> enable Vsync -> Use Borderless Window nest step is use on OBS monitor capture. For me works good luck :)

Monitor capture slows down the game and drops the FPS. I have put Ninty hours on this game streaming and this just started today doing this

Same issue, crashes the game the moment I try to use obs. I would hate to have to resort to monitor capture after around 100 hours as well.

I had this issue, but i fixed it, here's how:
I used GoG galaxy, and last night it downloaded 2 files that mess with OBS for some reason, these 2 files are dxgi.dll and d3d11.dll
They are situated in C:\GOG Games\The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\bin\x64 , simply delete both of them and you're good to go

Thanks, It seems to be working for me aswell, just wondering what these dll files were supposed to do... (other than colliding with obs :D )

I found this solution on GoG yesterday. I was able to just move the d3d11.dll file to another folder rather than deleting it (I put it in the 'bin' folder to see if it would work). This way, if for some reason you need to put the file back where it originally was, you can still do so. So far, this has worked for me.

Here's a link to their temporary workaround on GoG. It seems to be similar to what you guys are doing here, but with a bit more detail on which files to move in case the first one doesn't do the trick.
