What do you mean "at a loss"? u've never encountered it before? Cause I havent, it doesnt make sense to me- why can I stream some games, and not other, if they all use DX not OpenGL.
Send me ur steam ID, Ill send u a copy
if u got Skype, I can also show you exactly what steps I went through.

"At a loss" is just an English expression. It means that at the moment I have no idea what could be causing this problem, given the fact you are in fact not running a dual GPU card.

I'm reinstalling Steam as we speak so I can try to reproduce this problem (or even better, fix it). I will send you my Steam ID in a Private Message in a few minutes.

ok, Well
I am Russian myself, so my English is not perfect, but yeah, hopefully we have similar cards and I should be able to make it work by following your steps or something.
PS. now, this is getting better and better- in AMD Vision control centre it says I got the Graphics Chipset AMD Radeon HD 6900 Series and Device ID 6718. Wow.

The 6970 is a member of the 6900 Series of cards, which also includes the 6950 and the 6990.

Ok, so I had a long half- day talk with Kharay on Steam.......
Result- it still flickers, and we've absolutely no idea what can go wrong, since we are doing almost identical things, and he can stream fine- and I cant.
I am extremely grateful to Kharay for devoting his time to my problem, and I am sure there are many other people who received advices from Kharay- even though I still cant stream in full screen, I at least know for sure that the problem is not in my hardware, or the settings, of either game or OBS, so hopefully I would be able to work out exactly why the stream is not perfect- for now, I will continue streaming Monitor capture, and again, thanks to Kharay, I found out plenty of interesting facts about how broadcasting software works.

Again, thanks to Kharay- and, in fact everyone else on these forums for support- My actual other Stream of Saints Row 4 started to work properly, even though I didnt expect it to, so me and Kharay did not fail- we just succeded at finding many ways that would not work =P

Thanks again,
I will probably keep posting here from time to time on other threads, where I can.

Ok, np, I got the stream nice and going, fullscreen with no more flickering)) Thanks anyways, I'll also apply for translation team in the appropriate topic.
THIS topic can now be closed, if needed.

Agh, this is the same problem I'm having with the 6950, why would someone say they fixed the problem and then NOT SHOW OTHERS HOW?

I'm going to try PMing this guy but if I don't hear from him within a few days I'll post my own thread about the problem with a log and everything.

EDIT - Of COURSE he turned off his PMs! This guy is just awesome...

I cannot be certain but it might has something to do with the resolutions you capture in and the one game's running (since kotor1/2 is 4:3 game only without any additional patches). I might be wrong though.

I've been trying to figure this out for days, to no avail.
I'm going to assume no one has figured this out yet?
Yaeb is a pretty terrible person for not replying back to this with the fix.

Upon more trial and error, it's just an issue with Game Capture.

The reasoning being, is that OBS can't connect to the DX9, or rather keep a stable connection, as Dodge said.

I've tried every combination possible, but it seems as though OBS will not work with Game Capture.

Would there be a way to ignore aspect ratio with Window Capture? This would be a good work-around for games like KOTOR and KOTOR 2.

After alot of research, ignoring the aspect ratio with Window Capture is possible.

While you are in Preview Stream, select Edit Source while in OBS

Hold Shift and drag the red corners of your screen while in OBS, to fix the aspect ratio. The game looks quite decent, not alot of distortion.

Happy recording ;D

Oh, here I come back, to see the news on Obs, and there's such "feedback" about me...... thanks guys, for talking behind my Back.
Anyways, the reason I didn't want to disclose the workaround is simple- it uses another programe, and the admins might not wanna approve my "solution".
Anyways, since I'm not the only one with this problem, apparently, here's how to do it- simply use the other streaming software to display the Content of the KOTOR2 (I'm sure you heard of that one) - then simp[ly use OBS to stream/ record that software as a Game Source (!! Not a Window Capture).
Use the Microphone and Sound options from OBS to stream the Voice/ Game sounds- tadah, its streaming displayed KOTOR2 fullscreen, no flickering.
Hope that helps- sheesh, didnt realise I was Not the only one having problems with streaming this RPG Masterpiece.
ps. Yes- I DID disable pms, As no1 likes spam. Thanx for Understanding.
