Question / Help The Cheapest Possible Dedicated Streaming PC

Okay, first of all, hello guys. My name is theMOBAguy. The whole purpose of this thread is to ask you guys for help. I want to get into streaming. Currently my platform for playing games is the PlayStation 4. I know that it has a built-in streaming app but I dont find that customizable enough. I want deeper customization options that only a dedicated streaming PC can offer. The problem is that I dont have a big budget ATM and I am not sure if I will even like streaming so I dont want to put a hell of a lot of money in a dedicated streaming PC just to find out that I dont get any satisfaction out of streaming. So lets go to the build itself. My current goal is smooth 720p 60fps. Since it is going to be a dedicated streaming PC I dont want to put any money whatsoever in a dedicated graphics card. I have an old GT 240 lying around that I might use just to have something in it. The other component that I wont need to buy is a PSU. The only things that I am going to need are a motherboard, cpu, ram and a capture. Which is better? Elgato or Avermedia for streaming ATM? I am looking for the best bang for the buck on everything and like I said the goal is 720p/60fps. Thank you in advance for the answers and happy streaming to everyone :)

$107 - Capture Card: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Datapath-Limited-DGC150C-PCI-E-Video-Capture-Card-VisionRGB-E2-/111380795120 ~ (with Labor Day discount, see also this thread: https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/datapath-vision-capture.12503 ).

$140 - CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116945 (cheapest CPU with Intel HD Graphics 4600 for Quicksync encoding)

$70 - Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130699 (cheapest with necessary PCIe slots and Quicksync)

$73 - RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820313345 (not absolute cheapest, but it would be foolish to go with less ram or slower ram)

$5 - HDMI to DVI adapter: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=-1&IsNodeId=1&Description=HDMI to DVI&bop=And&Order=PRICE&PageSize=100 (pick one, I assume PS4 has HDMI out, if it has HDCP problems, then you'll need Component to DVI adapter instead, if it has DisplayPort, you'll need that kind of adapter, which is a little more expensive).

Total: $395, each item had free shipping. I did not shop around to see if Newegg had the lowest price on each of those Newegg components however.

That is awesome man, thank you! :) But the question is "Does Newegg ship for free to Bulgaria also?" Because I dont want to get totally ripped off on shipping.

Lol I don't know, probably not. They have a separate web site just for Canada, I don't know if they do international beyond that. Perhaps you could have mentioned Bulgaria in the OP.

gt240 is running on ddr3 ram which isnt really what you want for streaming.

make sure that you got an hdd ;) since you didnt mention it or i overread it :P

the igpu of an i3 should be enough as gpu in this case. but i would rather try to stream x264 instead of qsv hyperthreaded dualcore should do its job as a dedicated streaming machine but you literally have no headroom to play around with settings this said i would consider spending like 50 bucks more for an i5 just to get the option to maybe run 720p60 @ fast preset or actually be able to use this pc if you ever consider playing on it (would need a decent gpu then for around 100 bucks)

since boildown gave you all the links just go ahead and look around to find a pc store online or in your location (for bulgaria)

Will this setup also work with Elgato Game Capture HD ??

All I see on these forums are people with serious problems with their Elgato devices. I recommend never getting one. Avermedia works better. It really comes down to USB 2.0. It isn't fast enough. Use USB 3.0 devices or PCIe devices.
