Hi guys, I'm having some trouble using OBS and Team Fortress 2. I cannot get it to use the Game Capture source, for it will simply not show up as an option when picking an application. I am using the 32 bit version of OBS, but I have tried both the 32 bit and 64 bit versions.
Can you guys help me? I'd greatly appreciate it!

Yes. It tells me that I need run the 64 bit version to use another app (my virus scanner, lol)

This is strange usually it works just fine with 32 bit. PM me your Steam account perhaps we can work something out over the TeamViewer.

Uh...why do you need my Steam name? Or account?

If you do not get the resolution you seek, I can tell you the general couple of common reasons why game capture may be likely to fail:

1.) Using overlays from certain applications, such as teamspeak, mumble, and similar applications that do such things. Steam overlay does not typically apply to this rule.
2.) Mixing GPUs, or using a laptop with mixed GPUs. Game capture is designed to give super high performance, but the caveat is that multiple GPU systems can have issues. This is especially true for laptops that use multiple GPUs for power saving reasons.
3.) I have heard of some anti-virus applications causing issues, but this is fairly rare.

I have tried all of these things. No overlays opened, I have no mixed GPU, and I closed out my anti-virus. Nothin. :(

Oh wait, I misread your post. TF2 doesn't even show up as a selection in the window box? Does it show in text below at all?

Are you using DX8? if so switch to DX9. it won't work with DX8. Otherwise you'll have to wait for a newer version

I don't quite know for sure. give me a log file and a list of background apps you have running on your computer
