Question / Help Text Character Limit In OBS?

Hello! I seem to have reached a text limit inside of a single Source of Text. Is this an actual thing or am I doing something wrong with the settings?

For example, I'm using it for donations and comments from the donators. It's grown quite long now (scrolling). Do I need to make an entirely new Text Source to add more?

There's an actual limit determined by texture size (8192x8192 pixels iirc) and not by text length, so yeah, it's quite possible to hit that limit if you have a really long text using a big font size.
You can either use a smaller font size (but in the end you'll get to the same problem if the text keeps on growing) or you can add a new text source.

We changed the design a bit for the new version of the text source so that it doesn't have an actual limit, though it's not out for windows yet. It was somewhat of a design flaw. Still have to add scrolling and some other things to it though.

For the time being though, you can however work around it a little bit but sizing down the font and then resizing the actual source.
