Question / Help Taking too long to encode, need some advice

Yes, I did go through the first post. :P

I think I just have a crappy computer, but it could also be that I'm not getting my settings just right. My stream is running, but I'm still getting the 'taking too long to encode' message.

I'm new to the forums and am unsure as to how to post a log file correctly, so I hope this is okay.

Is there anything else I can do to my settings to make this message go away?

I don't think your CPU can handle the encoding.

Is there any settings I can tweak to at least make it better than what it is? This doesn't really answer my question. It's been able to handle the encoding on games that take up more CPU, and now I'm playing much simpler games. Like I said, my stream is almost running nicely, but this message pops up every-so-often rather than just staying there permanently, which is why I think I could make it better.

Well, it answers the question. Too heavy settings for your CPU and it cannot handle the encoding.
You can try downscaling further or switching to the ultrafast preset, but the best idea would probably be an upgrade :)

Both your video card and your CPU are too slow. Your only hope is to use UltraFast preset, cut your framerate to 20 or 15, and drastically increase your downscale to make your resolution much smaller.

I had an E4600 I think it was with a GTX260 and by doing the above, I could manage 480p30 or so. Your GPU is much slower than even my GTX260. OBS uses both the GPU and CPU, and for you, both of them are insufficient.

When you look at your log file, your Duplicated Frames are at ~ 75%. You want it to be less than 1% to have a smooth stream, so you need to drastically reduce your settings. Or get a modern CPU/GPU.
