So I have tried many of the solutions offered on here or in videos, but they dated from last year or even 2013 so I'm gonna try my luck.

so when recording ps4 with elgato on OBS, the video is always give or take a second late. even in the preview I can see the video being late. I have played around with audio syinc and video buffering. It doesnt make any difference.

has anyone had any luck with this and is willing to help me? I did use the elgato software and everything works fine on there but I really dont like that program and would rather get things working with OBS.

Also I dont think its something with my hardware cause I have a 3rd gen i7,16gb of ram and a 980.

thanks!

Open the elgato source properties. Set the elgato to not use buffering or use a buffer of 1. Set the audio time offset to 1450.

Go into settings > audio, set "mic sync offset" to 1450.

I believe that's what I use. Make a recording with those settings and see how it turns out.
