Hi,
on Bandicam I have get to state where even my dual core with old nvidia can record videos. :)

Now I want to switch to OBS and looking for those:

1. How to record in Motion JPEG, bcs encoding while recording is very slow on my PC ?
2. How to record audio tracks to separate wav files? So i can after recording use Audacity?
3. How to turn off the preview window, I think it is taking some of my PC's resources.

4. Any other ideas how to lower down resources used by OBS?

For instance while using Bandicam, I can record and play Minecraft on about 30FPS average. While using OBS FPS goes down to about 17.

Thanks for replies.

Unfortunately, Bandicam and OBS are two very different kinds of applications.

1. You can not record video using MJPEG with the current version of OBS. It might be possible in the rewrite, though ffmpeg. Support for any codecs beyond x264 will not be added to the current version of OBS.
2. This has little to no place in an application where the main purpose is live video streaming. This will however be possible to do in the rewrite.
3. If the preview window is using too much resources, your PC is not suitable for using OBS.
4. No. You may be able to change the encoding and output settings to something "suitable" in the rewrite of OBS that is currently being worked on.

While 3. is true, and it won't likely have any noticeable impact, you can disable the preview by right clicking it, unchecking Preview -> Enable Preview.

And if for some reason you are using capture methods that are less than optimal, or have encoder settings set up that are unrealistic for your system, then it's quite logical that OBS is performing less than expected. If you provided a log, we might be able to judge that. But as it stands, this is all the advice we can give.
