Hi, before I go out and buy a capture device, need some advice, wonder if this would be possible?
I'm using a i7-3930K, 64GB Ram, 3 Way SLI Titans, Win7 Ultimate SP1, on OBS I am capturing 4 window screens of Diablo III (quad box) and I notice there is a performance hit when streaming, not so much as a huge FPS drop, but noticeable micro-stuttering which is not there once stream or preview is turned off. (I have tried all capture options, monitor capture being the most noticeable, game and window capture is okay)
Here is what I was thinking but because of the complex nature of my setup, hopefully someone can chime in...
3 way SLI all connected to 144hz monitors, connected as follows:
Top GPU = DVI and Display Port (1 DVI and 1 HDMI port free)
2ND GPU = DVI (remaining port unusable)
3RD GPU = DVI (remaining port unusable)
I play games in surround a lot so the above connection can't be altered or surround wont work based on nvidia's instructions, as per nvidia website, only the top GPU ports are usable, also HDMI to my surround is not a option as 144hz requires DVI or DP, so I can't just run a pass thru on my center monitor..
I was thinking connecting the HDMI cable from TOP_GPU to say the Avermedia Live HD, then in windows, I'll configure the center monitor to duplicate over to the HDMI connection, the Avermedia Live HD will be connected to another rig using a i7-3770K & 16GB ram, then I can run and stream OBS from that.
Is this viable? or am I dreaming? :)
