Question / Help Sudden black screen issue?

Hello!

I have been using OBS for about a month without much issue until yesterday suddenly all streams started showing up as black screens. I have not changed anything but nothing will show in preview stream or when trying to actually stream. I am on a laptop so I followed the directions from the "Laptop black screen" forum post but it did not help. I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling OBS, creating a new profile, and trying to capture with game, window, and monitor captures.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have the same problem, I'm trying to record ESO. Couple of months ago it worked fine.
Only changes:
1. Installed sound card (was running off motherboards sound previously) now has an ASUS Zonar DGX PCIE audio card.
2. Updated OBS software.
Sound is being recorded okay, so I doubt it is the sound-card.
I rolled back OBS to the original installation (Windows gave me that option) but no change.
It records the video in windows mode, but image keeps skipping so don't want to do that.
Game capture works for Minecraft. Minecraft is a java script game, so that is a difference.
I see in the forums that "black screen" is a common problem particularly for laptops. But also for desktops. I have a desktop - Dell quad core 2.66GHz Zenon, Graphics: NVIDIA Quadro FX 1800

I

OBS crashed earlier today:

That is an incomplete log. Can you restart OBS, do a test recording for a few minutes, restart OBS, and post the last log?
