Stutter/Jitters in my streams / recordings

Hi Guys,

Fairly new streamer here. I'm having issues with Jitters/ stutters on my streams/recordings and Twitch VODs. These aren't there 24/7 but are appearing almost every 5-10 seconds or so and are then lasting for a second or two before settling. This continues to happen and is ruining my stream quality/content creation. I'm streaming from my PS5 to my laptop with an Elgato 4KS I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions for me, please. I'll list my PC Specs, OBS Settings, & things I've tried below. When streaming, I've had the obs stats tab up, and its showing 0.0% frame rate and encode issues. I can alos post my PS5 settings if required. My Elgato settings are set to record in 1080p 60 fps, the same as my OBS. I have tried to drop the fram rate to 59.54 but this also did not fix this issue as well as changing bitrates.

PC Specs:
Processor AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS with Radeon Graphics (3.20 GHz)
Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.2 GB usable)

Should I be using Nvenc or maybe use AMD?

Many Thanks.

It seems like rendering lag Andor encoder overload but need a log from a stream Andor recording where it happened.

Hi there,

Thanks very much for your reply and willingness to help.

This was the log i ran last night and had issues.

Since this, i have removed OBS and stream elements and re installed OBS. Created a new scene and added each source but still seem to be having the issue. I've tested my Elgato studio software on recording, and it appears to work much better throught that.

Should i change my laptops refresh rate to 60hz to match my 1080p 60fps rather than using 165hz?

any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Many thanks
