Question / Help Streaming with less upload speed

Hey all, just wanted to start off by saying, wonderful software you have here, have been using it without any issues for a long time and it's been simple and brilliant to use.

Recently however I've moved locations and now have a pretty weak internet connection in comparison;

I stream League of legends, and random indie simulation games, so nothing too straining, but I seem to having very slight lag spikes or issues every now and again when watching my streams back.

Could someone post me some setting/config changes I could make that would make things better. (I have no idea what to change in order to improve it)

Thank you!

I wouldn't bother even attempting to stream on Virgin Media, unless you have the 100MB of 152MB service. I used to be with Virgin but had to switch to BT, because of their traffic shaping policies. Trying to stream on a 2-5MB upload with Virgin, would ALWAYS trigger their throttling. So unless you plan on upgrading your package, or switching to another ISP, I wouldn't bother getting too comfortable with streaming on a regular basis.

Hey dodgepong, I tried your suggestion and it hasn't helped. My ping is still unplayable in LoL, though I haven't tried rewatching my streams of singleplayer games so perhaps that's improved.

Have you tried enabling minimize network impact in broadcast settings? I have about the same upload as you and I had troubles streaming League of Legends too, but I came to a conclusion that LoL just uses way more bandwith than most of the games. Try to decrease your bitrate while streaming LoL and see if that effects your ping.
