Question / Help streaming with gtx 960

Hello i am wondering what should be the best config for streaming cs:go for 720p 60 fps cause when i use shadowplay i don't get any problems but using obs i get it.

shadowplay uses NVENC, which OBS can use as well, but dont have them both running at the same time even if its running in the taskbar by the clock.

Second, if you use the default for OBS, which is x264, that is basically software mode which is 90% CPU reliant. if your CPU is weak (i3, low end i5, or FX6000 series CPU or less, then you'll have issues with 720@60. this is also the case if you are running a CPU intensive game like DayZ or even CS:GO.

post your logfile is the best you can do and we'll see what we can assist with:

I don't really use launch options so i quess it's on default.

There are a few things you can do, like try a different preset. shadowplay probably uses the most efficient preset, which isn't always the best quality for streaming. try different NVENC presets until you find one that works for you.

You can also try disabling the OBS preview window. right click on the preview windows, press preview, uncheck "enable view"

Lastly, I have a very similar GPU as you do. maybe 2x MSAA in CS:GO would be better just to ensure your fps stays up.

Thank you for your help. I find out that broadcast was enabled on steam and that's why i had that low fps now i have 140-200fps in game streaming 720p 60 fps and best textures
